THE JANADRIYAH FESTIVAL CONCLUDES ITS 24TH CYCLE
For 24 years in a row, the Janadriyah Festival is a major cultural event held in Riyadh. It is among the oldest and the most traditional of all the celebrations held in Riyadh and one should not miss the vibrancy and flaunt of color that is associated with this particular festival.
Held on March 2nd to the 15th, the festival was inaugurated by H.H. King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and was organized by the kingdom’s National Guard.
The Janadriyah Festival is considered as an assertion of KSA’s identity as an Islamic and Arabic country through the Janadriyah’s cultural aspects; poetry, arts, traditional shows & games, and camel & horse races.
Just in case you missed this year’s Janadriyah festival, makes sure you visit this spectacular phenomenon in 2010.
