GLOBAL WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE - COMING SOON TO DUBAI
The annual Global Women’s Leadership Conference in Energy and Technology which is usually held in Houston, Texas, will be held for in the UAE for the first time on Sunday May 24th at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai. Organized by Gulf Publishing, the international publishing and events business dedicated to the energy sector, the one day Global Women’s Leadership Conference is a global gathering for women leaders to meet and discuss issues surrounding leadership in the energy industry.
Inaugurated by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline Group, the conference will cover all aspects of responsible stewardship ranging from energy security and geopolitics to personal career development. Key business and economic issues will also be discussed as well as issues related to the energy industry and professional-advancement issues.
Oil Supply and demand
With the forecast for global oil demand for 2009 is revised down slightly to 84.4 mb/d, according to Oil Market Report, International Energy Agency, the Women’s Global Leadership Conference will discuss the complex relationships among the global economy in a seminar entitled; The Energy Industry and the Global Economy.
Sustainable Solutions for meeting Energy Demand
Industry experts from the major energy centres about the world will discuss the varied approaches that countries and regions are taking to create long term, sustainable solutions for meeting energy demand.
Other sessions that will be held during the Global Women’s Leadership Conference include; The changing relationship between International and National Oil Companies, ensuring the recruitment and retention of young talent in tough economic times, understanding cultural differences: International Business Etiquette, Negotiation and Norms and also adapting to a changing workforce.
