O2 SAUDI KICKS OFF IMPRESSIVE PROJECTS IN KSA
Given the number of companies looking for branding and PR projects, it would appear that the KSA market is showing signs of recovery. Since Q4 2008, when O2 established a presence in Saudi, in both Jeddah and Riyadh, the number of companies seeking brand identity projects has grown considerably.
Take Al Shbaibi for example, the office of a Saudi-based family conglomerate put out a RFP on May 10, 2009 for a new brand identity. After having approached several agencies, Al Shbaibi selected O2 over three other agencies due to the fact that O2 is an integrated agency. To meet the needs and requirements of the client, O2 is currently working closely with the client to re-develop their identity and branding strategy and will be launching the brand by October 2009 in one of the biggest Oil & Gas exhibitions in the Kingdom: Saudi Arabia International Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference.
In Jeddah O2 has been appointed by Al Sobaie group to brand their Real Estate company,
The project involves a naming exercise of the new company and full corporate identity in addition to developing a new website.
Danat, the newly established project in Khobar by Tameer Bahrain has also recently signed with O2. The 7 star resort in Half Moon Bay is located near Khobar city in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. As per the O2 / Danat contract, O2 is working on the new logo of the project. In the aviation industry, O2 also won the contract to re-brand the general aviation civil authority’s website and logo. O2 began working with GACA in June. Last but not least O2 has been working with Prince Sultan University, sponsoring, handling managing one of their mega education projects.
Given the number of companies looking for branding and PR projects, it would appear that local companies in KSA are looking at new ways to be innovative in such a tough market. The increasing demand for re-branding projects, highlights the fact that a growing number of companies across the KSA are looking to further develop their businesses and image and that to do this they are looking for extraordinary and innovate creative ideas to reinvent their brand and ultimately an agency that can handle all aspects of communication and branding. Since Q4 2008, when O2 established a presence in Saudi, in both Jeddah and Riyadh, the number of companies seeking brand identity projects has grown considerably.
